Calculations and dog profiles

Calculations run in your browser. Names, breeds, birthdays, weights, calculation inputs, and saved history are not sent to a PupSaga database or an external AI service. If you choose to save a profile or result, it is stored in this browser’s local storage.

There is no account or automatic synchronization. Clearing browser data, using a different browser or device, private browsing, or storage restrictions may make your records unavailable. Local storage is not a password-protected vault; someone with access to this browser may be able to view it.

Backups, imports, and deletion

My Dog lets you export a JSON backup and import a file into this browser. The file is read locally. Exported files can contain your dog’s details and history, so keep them somewhere appropriate. Deleting a dog removes its local records. Clearing PupSaga dog data leaves your theme preference unchanged. It does not delete backup files you have already downloaded or information you have shared elsewhere.

Sharing is your choice

Sharing shows you the result text first. You can then send it through your device’s sharing options, copy it to the clipboard, or copy the visible text manually. PupSaga does not create a public dog profile or upload a share archive. The tool link has no dog details in its query string. A service you choose from your device’s sharing menu handles the text under its own policies.

Preferences and site requests

Your light or dark theme preference is saved locally. The hosting provider processes request information, such as IP addresses and browser headers, to deliver the website and operate its infrastructure. That is separate from the dog details you enter into the tools.

Website analytics

We use Umami, served from analytics.peekkit.com, to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find PupSaga. Visiting the site sends a separate analytics request to this service.

Visit information can include the page URL and title, referring website, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and approximate location. URLs may include query parameters. PupSaga does not put dog details or calculator inputs in its sharing links.

Umami’s web tracker does not use cookies. It can process IP addresses and browser information to derive approximate location and group visits; infrastructure providers may also process or log request information. Cookie-free measurement does not mean no information is processed. See Umami’s metric definitions and FAQ.

We do not send dog profiles, saved history, calculation inputs, imported file contents, or email messages as analytics events. This site has no Google Analytics integration, advertising scripts, or session-replay integration.

Email you choose to send

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments so we can respond. Email is handled by the email services involved, separately from the records in your browser. Please avoid sending private records or full profile backups unless necessary.

Your choices

You can use the calculators without saving a profile, manage saved records in My Dog, and remove local data through your browser settings. Browser tools that block analytics requests may prevent visit measurement. Deleting local dog records does not remove previously collected website analytics or email correspondence; contact us with questions about those records.

Calculator methods link to source websites. Visiting an external link sends a normal web request to that website, which has its own privacy practices.
